Liverpool will be in the market for new attackers in the summer.
After seeing what has gone on this season, the club has put plans in place to revamp the front line. Mohamed Salah has carried the attacking burden this campaign. The forward has 25 goals in the league, and the next closest is Luis Diaz with 9 goals. The inconsistency of the other attackers has been a problem.
Darwin Nunez has failed to impact the game when he starts. Arne Slot has had to use Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota as the number nine. Jota has also been a source of frustration; the Portuguese forward has missed so many games through injury.

Liverpool want to offload £60M star
Arne Slot has reportedly asked for new attackers ahead of next season. Liverpool will be in the market to improve the current set up. The reds will need to raise funds for new players, and will make some first team players available. Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota are the major names being mentioned.
Jota has drawn interest from Arsenal, who would be interested in a move. FC Barcelona have been linked with Luis Diaz. The Colombian wants to sign a new deal with Liverpool, but the reds have put talks on hold. Italian clubs have shown some interest in signing Darwin Nunez. Liverpool will reportedly want a fee around £60million for the Uruguayan.
The list of possible signings is extensive. Liverpool have been linked with Wolves forward Matheus Cunha and Brighton star Joao Pedro. Newcastle star Alexander Isak is said to be the top target this summer. Caught Offside reports that interest in Joao Pedro is concrete, and Liverpool could consider a move. The 23-year old fits the profile of attacker Arne Slot wants in his system. Brighton will be very reluctant to sell Pedro, but they will listen to the right offers.
Reds set to fill serious need
Arne Slot has been able to navigate this campaign without a recognized striker. It is clear that the Dutch coach is not a fan of Darwin Nunez. Slot resorted to using Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz in the central role in attack. Liverpool need to sign a striker who can score goals before next season starts. It will be even more important if Mohamed Salah leaves Anfield in the summer.
