Liverpool could land a marquee signing this summer.
The reds are planning to make some moves in the transfer market in the upcoming window. With some major departures expected, the squad could see some significant changes. Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all out of contract at the end of the season. The trio are yet to put pen to paper on new deals at Anfield. All three have been a big part of Liverpool’s success on the field this season.

Liverpool target €80M Bundesliga star
Liverpool came into this season with one recognized first team striker. Darwin Nunez joined the reds in a big money move from Benfica in 2022. The Uruguayan has failed to live up to his price tag so far. This season, Arne Slot has preferred Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz ahead of Nunez in the striker’s role. It has been heavily suggested that the club will be in the market for an attacker this summer. Nunez has been linked with a move to Italy, with AC Milan and Juventus interested.
According to BILD, Eintracht Frankfurt are preparing to sell striker Hugo Ekitike within the next year. Three unnamed Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the Frenchman. It has been suggested that Liverpool are one of the three clubs interested. Omar Marmoush joined Manchester City from Frankfurt in January for €80million. Frankfurt are looking for a similar fee for Ekitike.
The 22-year old joined the Bundesliga club last summer from Paris Saint-Germain. Ekitike was initially signed by the French giants as they anticipated the departure of Kylian Mbappe. However, the deal did not work out and the youngster was loaned to Frankfurt. Ekitike has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season.

Seeing how Omar Marmoush has started his Manchester City career should give optimism about how Ekitike could do. The French youngster is one of the brightest talents in Europe. The Paris Saint-Germain move did not quite work out, but he has bounced back well since.
Liverpool could lose Mohamed Salah this summer. The reds are already actively looking for signings to boost their attack. This season has showed how the team cannot rely on Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota. Hugo Ekitike could be a great signing for the club.
