Liverpool are planning ahead for their squad and are aware that they could need more goalkeeping options in upcoming seasons.
Alisson Becker is one of the architects of the Liverpool team that won everything under previous manager Jurgen Klopp in the last decade.
However, the Brazilian is ageing and has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia with many suggesting that he could move on in the next summer transfer window.
Liverpool have already taken steps towards planning for Alisson’s departure and are already committed to signing Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia next summer.
However, there are question marks over the future of Caoimhin Kelleher and he has been urged to move on from Liverpool to save his career.
Liverpool could be in the market for one more goalkeeper next summer if Kelleher leaves and it has been claimed that they have their eyes on someone in Serie A.
Liverpool use intermediaries to get information on Serie A goalkeeper
Mile Svilar is a goalkeeper the Merseyside giants are keeping tabs on at this stage of the season.
The Serbian has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper at Roma and has been a key part of the team.
Liverpool are keeping an eye on him and according to Asromalive.it, the Reds have put in enquiries for him.
Intermediaries, working on behalf of Liverpool, have sought information on the goalkeeper and a potential move away from Roma in the near future.
Newcastle United are also interested in him and have sought similar information on him.
Svilar is currently on a contract worth €1.5m and Roma are considering offering him a new deal soon.
However, selling him would mean pure capital gain for the Serie A giants as Svilar was signed on a free transfer in 2022.
Roma are likely to demand somewhere between €35m and €40m before they could agree to sell the goalkeeper.
