Arne Slot has handed Liverpool fans a lot of hope for the future.
Despite the events of the last month, many will see this first season under the Liverpool boss as a success. Before he took over the club, no one expected the reds to be anywhere near competitive this season. Liverpool were not expected to challenge for trophies under Slot, but he has proved them wrong.
The reds sit top of the Premier League with a healthy points gap and nine games to go. Slender losses to Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle saw Liverpool crash out of two competitions. But overall the season has been a promising one.
With Arne Slot having improved the players in the squad, and showed that the team can still compete, fans are looking forward to next season. This summer will play a huge part as Liverpool plan to overhaul the squad. Alexander Isak could be one of the first signings to arrive at Anfield this summer.

Anfield to set new Liverpool record

Nothing shows how excited the fans have been this season than the home attendance. Liverpool fans continue to show up and back the team every week. Supporters have proved the doubters wrong, as people thought Jurgen Klopp’s departure would change the atmosphere.
Liverpool host Everton at Anfield this week. After seeing the last ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, fans are set to see a historic one at Anfield. Ahead of Wednesday night, Liverpool expect more than 60,000 fans to be in attendance for the Premier League clash. This figure will dwarf the 56,060 crowd figure from 1963 when the reds played a goalless draw with Everton. The expansion of the Anfield Road Stand has handed the club a huge boost, as it has allowed an extra 7,000 seats. This has taken the total capacity of the stadium to over 61,000. If the last Merseyside derby was anything, fans should expect an exciting clash on Wednesday night.
This summer is set to be a crucial one for Liverpool and their fans. New signings are expected at Anfield, and with the new Adidas deal set to bring in over £50 million per year, fans should expect a new era at the club.
