Italian clubs have already showed interest in Nunez, while FC Barcelona continue to be linked with a move for Luis Diaz. The reds are also in the market for a defender as the club anticipate the departure of Virgil Van Dijk. Midfield has also been highlighted as an area of need.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool are preparing to sign Carlos Baleba. The Brighton star could leave for over £100million. Reports say Brighton would demand a similar fee to what they got for Moises Caicedo. Arne Slot has reportedly been active with Richard Hughes, identifying areas of the squad needing reinforcements.

Do reds need Carlos Baleba?
Carlos Baleba is an incredible talent. He has outplayed almost every midfield pairing he has faced this season. Brighton will make a huge profit off the Cameroon international. But it begs the question, do Liverpool need Baleba?
Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister have been a formidable duo in the middle of the park this season. The two have fit perfectly in Arne Slot’s style. Last season both had struggles playing under Jurgen Klopp. But barring injury, the duo will be the first choice pairing next season.
Spending a premium fee on a player that would be a rotation option at best is not a smart move. However, in the Premier League, quality wins you games. Having Baleba as an option would give Liverpool the edge in every game. The reds have a serious decision on their hands.
