Liverpool could be set to welcome some high profile names to Anfield this summer.
The reds could lose some big names at the end of the season. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are yet to sign new deals at Anfield. The trio have been integral to the club’s success this season. Salah has 25 goals and 16 assists in the Premier League this season. Van Dijk has anchored one of the best defensive sides in Europe this year. Trent Alexander-Arnold has bounced back from an underwhelming campaign last year.
There is a high chance Liverpool could lose all three for free. Ahead of the upcoming window, the reds have lined up multiple targets in the summer in case of any departures.

Liverpool target Ballon d’Or finalist

Liverpool will look to revamp their attack in the summer transfer window. Arne Slot reportedly wants more quality up top. The former Feyenoord boss has also become frustrated with the inconsistency from the players outside Mohamed Salah. Liverpool will listen to offers for Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota. The club have set a £60million asking price for Nunez.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Liverpool are lining up a move for Atalanta star Ademola Lookman. The forward recently had a spat with his head coach Gian Piero Gasperini after their Champions League exit. Lookman has had a successful career since arriving in Italy, he has won CAF Player of the Year and was named in the top 15 of the 2024 Ballon d’Or. The 27-year old has 17 goals and 6 assists in all competitions this year.
Arne Slot has asked for attacking players with versatility ahead of next season, and Lookman fits the bill.
Lookman could solve multiple problems
Ademola Lookman could be a shrewd signing for Liverpool. The forward has been deployed as a winger for most of his career. At Atalanta he has fit perfectly as a striker in a front two. The Nigerian international has thrived since being deployed in the new role. Since last season, Lookman has 23 goals and 12 assists.
If Liverpool do sign the forward, he will cover two roles. The reds have had issues in attack this season. Arne Slot has chosen to use wide players ahead of Darwin Nunez as the number 9. Left wing has also been a problem; Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have failed to provide consistency this season.
Liverpool can make a great signing and fill two positions with one move.
