Liverpool are set to overhaul their team ahead of next season.
Arne Slot has done a brilliant job with the current set of players during this campaign. Since he arrived, his new system and possession-based style has brought the best out of some players. Under Jurgen Klopp last year, Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister struggled in their first season at Anfield. This season, the duo are arguably the best midfield in the Premier League. Liverpool also have one of the best attacks in Europe, Slot’s influence on the tactics a big part of that.
The club could yet end this season with a treble. Liverpool are top of the league with 13 points and 10 games remaining. The reds could lift their first trophy of the season when they face Newcastle in the League Cup final in two weeks.
Quiz: Can you name these 10 former Premier League players?
Liverpool show interest in Mason Greenwood

As part of their planned revamp this summer, Arne Slot has reportedly asked for new attackers. Diogo Jota has been unreliable this season due to injury, Darwin Nunez has been poor and Luis Diaz has failed to show consistency. All three will reportedly be made available when the window opens. The club have already set a £60million asking price for Darwin Nunez.
According to Fichajes in Spain, Liverpool are eyeing a move for Mason Greenwood. The former Manchester United star is one of the best players in France this season. Greenwood is the second top scorer in Ligue 1 with 14 goals this season. Marseille legend Chris Waddle praised the forward for his quick start to life with the club:
“He’s a very good player. He’s got the number 10 shirt and England seem to be producing a lot of good number 10s these days. He’s come out of the blocks very quick, started scoring goals from the off. The new England manager will be taking notice of this,”
Marseille are set to make a huge profit on the 23-year old they signed for £26.6million.
Should reds make a move for Marseille star?
It is no secret how Mason Greenwood’s time in England ended. He had an unceremonious exit from Manchester United. However, he has managed to get his career back on track. Greenwood has showed in Spain with Getafe, and now in France with Marseille that he is still a top player. The 23-year old was highly rated coming out of the Manchester United academy and his talent is clear to see.
Liverpool could do with attacking reinforcements this summer, and the reds cannot overlook a player who has 15 goals in all competitions this season.
