Liverpool are set to revamp their squad ahead of next season.
Arne Slot’s first campaign could end in success. Liverpool are in contention to win the treble this season. The reds have a huge lead on top of the Premier League with 10 games to go. Slot also has a League Cup final against Newcastle in over a week.
Liverpool beat the Magpies 2-0 at Anfield last week. Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister were enough to seal the win. If the reds can repeat that result at Wembley, Arne Slot will lift their first trophy of the season.

Liverpool to compete with Real Madrid for transfer target

Liverpool took one step closer to the Champions League on Wednesday night. Arne Slot’s side pulled a shock result as they came away from Paris with a 1-0 win. Paris Saint-Germain threatened for most of the game, camping the reds in the first half. PSG would have taken the lead in the first half, but VAR ruled out an early goal. It took heroics from Alisson Becker throughout the game to keep out the French side. Harvey Elliot came off the bench to score the winner in the 87th minute.
Andrew Robertson had a torrid time throughout the 90 minutes. He was constantly getting beat by PSG winger Ousmane Dembele down his flank. Robertson’s performance showed how much Liverpool need reinforcements this summer. The latest report claims that the reds will keep the 30-year old around for the short-term future. Liverpool will also be looking for a younger left back to compete with the Scotland international.
According to The Telegraph, Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez is a major target. Liverpool are not the only club interested in the Hungarian international, Real Madrid are also in the race. Kerkez’s agent mentioned last month that his client is ready to move to a bigger club:
“I think he’s ready to go to a higher level club [than Bournemouth], If he wants to go to Liverpool, he will go to Liverpool.
“I mean he has everything. I think he can’t be in the top five left-backs around the world if he plays at a smaller club.
“So it depends on his next transfer. How many minutes will he play there and how well will he play there?”
Milos Kerkez will reportedly be available for a fee in excess of £40million this summer. The 21-year old has two goals and four assists this season.
