Liverpool take step towards £100m coup

Liverpool have big plans for next summer and are positioning themselves in a way to ensure that they are in the market for some of the most exciting players available in the market.

The Merseyside giants sit at the summit of the Premier League table and have emerged as the favourites to win the league ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal.

Arne Slot’s impact has rejuvenated the club and Liverpool are now planning to ensure that they compete for the best young players in the market in the upcoming transfer windows.

Liverpool’s frugality last summer means the club have money to spend and they plan to spend big in the next summer transfer window.

The Merseyside giants will not shy away from spending big on the biggest talents if they are open to a move to Anfield and the club have their eyes on one of the hottest young talents who will be switching clubs next summer.

The Reds lead the race for massive talent

Florian Wirtz is almost certain to move on from Bayer Leverkusen next summer and some of the biggest European clubs have their eyes on him.

Liverpool are amongst the Premier League sides who are interested in signing him but he has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

The German champions are claimed to be confident about signing the midfielder as they have received positive signs from the player’s representatives.

However, according to German magazine Sport Bild, one factor is giving Liverpool the edge in the race to sign Wirtz.

Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?

There are suggestions that Leverkusen would prefer to sell the 21-year-old attacking midfielder outside Germany over allowing him to join Bayern Munich.

Liverpool will hope to hold talks with the player and his representatives and sell a move to Anfield next summer.

The club believe that their upward trajectory under Arne Slot will give them a heads-up in the race to land one of the hottest young talents in Europe.

However, a move for him would be expensive as Leverkusen want £100m before they could agree to sell him at the end of the season.
