Liverpool were crowned Premier League champions with four games left in the season, but work is underway to bolster Arne Slot’s title-winning squad. However, the Reds are now facing the real prospect of having to sell a player they had no plans to move on until recently.
Richard Hughes, Liverpool’s sporting director, has his work cut out as he will come under pressure to properly back Slot and bring in the players he wants in the summer transfer window.
The Liverpool manager is also clear about not wanting to lose his top players in the summer, and has already asked the board to hand out new contracts to several stars.
However, one of those stars could be on the move in the summer transfer window as it has been claimed that negotiations over a new deal have hit a brick wall.
Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
The Reds are yet to make progress in talks over a new deal

The Ibrahima Konate situation has been developing into a sore topic at Anfield as the club continue to struggle in talks over a new deal with his representatives.
According to the Daily Mail, no new developments exist in the negotiations between the Reds and the defender’s representatives, and that is a problem.
The Frenchman is set to enter the final year of his contract, and the club will have to consider selling him in the summer if no new deal is agreed upon.
Liverpool believe Paris Saint-Germain’s interest has turned the defender’s head, and he is considering returning to his hometown club this summer.
Saudi Pro League clubs have also been alerted by Konate’s contract situation and are prepared to pounce if Liverpool do not thrash out a new deal.
The Frenchman has been a rock at the back for Liverpool this season, and it would be a major blow if he leaves Anfield this summer.
