Liverpool star rejects Leeds in shock Nottingham Forest transfer

In a surprise move that’s caught fans off guard, a Liverpool star is set to reject advances from Leeds United to complete a shock transfer to Nottingham Forest. With both clubs pushing for key summer reinforcements, this decision adds new fuel to the rivalry — and raises questions about Forest’s ambitions under their current rebuild.

Liverpool are set to complete the signing of Florian Wirtz for a British record fee in the coming days and are also expected to finalise Milos Kerkez’s arrival.

However, an exodus of players that was expected to take place at Anfield this summer is also set to start in full flow in the coming weeks, with several title winners likely to move on from the club soon.

The Liverpool player are in demand this summer, and one such player is now set to reject Leeds in favour of a move to Nottingham Forest in the ongoing transfer window.

Liverpool star set to reject Leeds as he prepares for shock transfer to Nottingham Forest

Kostas Tsimikas has been linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer, and he has suitors both in England and abroad.

Leeds have identified him as their priority left-back target as they push to add his experience to their promoted squad in the ongoing transfer window.

However, former Premier League scout Mick Brown has revealed, Forest are set to decide on whether to try and sign Tsimikas soon after carrying out due diligence on him.

“Tsimikas has done well when he’s come into the Liverpool side and he’s got a few suitors”, Brown told Football Insider.

“Nottingham Forest have done their due diligence on him, and now they have to decide whether he’s the one they want to take a chance on.

“They’ve looked into his character and his ability to see if he would fit in.

“Nuno wants to bring in a natural left-back, and of course, he fits that bill.

“He’s not the only one they’ve been looking at, though, so we’ll see.”

The Greek defender would prefer a move to the City Ground as Forest would be in Europe next season.

However, it is unclear whether Liverpool will now do a U-turn on the decision to sell him, given that Andy Robertson is also considering his future at Anfield.
