Liverpool could lose up to six first team players this summer.
The reds are planning a major shakeup in their squad. After seeing what Arne Slot has done with the current crop of players, the club might back him in the off-season. Slot’s possession-based style has brought the best out of some players in the team. Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo are having their best seasons since arriving in England.
Liverpool could lose three players by the end of this season. Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are out of contract this summer. None have officially renewed their deals at Anfield. The reds could also lose Ibrahima Konate and Caomhin Kelleher. Paris Saint-Germain will pursue the French defender in the upcoming window. Premier League clubs Newcastle and Chelsea are also keeping an eye on Kelleher ahead of a possible summer transfer.

Liverpool star makes three demands of Barcelona

Earlier this week, reports claim Luis Diaz’s representatives are pushing for a new contract. The Colombian has wanted to a new deal at Anfield since last year. Liverpool are said to be putting any possible talks on hold for now. The reds see the deals of Salah, Van Dijk and Trent as priorities ahead of the likes of Diaz.
Now, Jose Alvarez is reporting that Luis Diaz has offered himself to FC Barcelona. The report revealed that Diaz’s representatives are in touch with Deco over a possible summer move. The Colombian has been linked with the Spanish side since the start of last season. A few weeks ago, a possible swap deal involving Frenkie de Jong was discussed.

The 28-year old’s entourage have asked Barcelona for three conditions before they agree to any deal. First, Diaz wants to join Barcelona by July so that he can have a full pre-season to adapt before the campaign. The second request is for an increase in Diaz’s current salary of £55,000 per week. Finally, the Colombian has asked Deco and Laporta not to sign a striker this summer, to reduce his competition for places.
Do the reds let Luis Diaz leave?
Liverpool have a big decision to make. Diaz is 28 years old and has less than two years left on his contract. He has very eager suitors in FC Barcelona, who are willing to sign him. The reds also need reinforcements this summer. The rational move would be to sell the Colombian and reinvest in the squad.
