Liverpool are about to shake the European transfer market this summer with a move that no one saw coming, even a few weeks back. The Merseyside giants are growing confident of signing one of the most wanted players in the upcoming transfer window.
Richard Hughes is set to complete the signing of Jeremie Frimpong soon, and has other priorities such as signing a centre-back, a left-back and a striker.
Those positions could still get filled over the course of the window, but the Liverpool sporting director is now prioritising a deal that could see the Reds sign an elite player in the coming weeks.
FSG have sanctioned the move, and the dominoes seem to be falling in such a manner that suggests the Reds are now in a prime position to get this deal over the line.

Florian Wirtz’s arrival will break the internet if Liverpool manage to get the deal over the line in the upcoming transfer window.
With Bayern Munich less confident about signing the attacking midfielder than they were a few weeks back, Liverpool appear to be the favourites to sign the German.
Daily Mail journalist Lewis Steele has revealed that Liverpool are internally optimistic about convincing the player to join Arne Slot’s revolution on Merseyside.
He insisted that the Reds have the money to shatter the club and Premier League transfer record and secure a deal to sign the attacking midfielder.
“I just have a sneaky feeling on this one. The noises are positive, let’s say that. Not that a deal will be done, just that there’s no negative noise to suggest it won’t be done”, Steele said on his YouTube channel.
“All I can say is Florian Wirtz likes the idea of Liverpool. Liverpool are going to push hard for him. The money’s there, as I said in the last video, and I think that this could be a brilliant, brilliant signing.
“And the sort of signing that sends a statement to the league [Premier League] and the rest of Europe – ‘we mean business’.”
