Liverpool will revamp the team this summer.
The reds have a whole list of potential departures from Anfield lined up. From players out of contract like Salah, Van Dijk and Trent, to other stars with contracts expiring in 12 months like Ibrahima Konate. Arne Slot and Richard Hughes have a huge task on their hands to shape the team ahead of next season.
Liverpool are facing the reality of losing two midfielders who provide squad depth. Harvey Elliott and Wataru Endo have been linked with moves away from the club this summer. The reds will have to enter the market for potential replacements.

Liverpool eye Premier League star

Even though it has been widely reported that the defence and attack will be the main areas targeted, Liverpool are open to improving the whole team. With the potential departures of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk, the reds have lined up multiple targets to replace them.
Over the past few months, Liverpool have been linked with midfielders. FC Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong continues to be a major target for the team, however, his wages may be a stumbling block. Just this week, the reds are said to have joined the race for Frankfurt star Hugo Larsson.
According to Caught Offside, Liverpool have found a cut-price option in Joao Gomes. The Wolverhampton Wanderers star is on the radar of the club, and with a £40million price tag, a move is very possible. Gomes joined Wolves in 2023, and just over a year later, impressed enough to earn a Brazil debut in 2024. However, since the midfielder joined the Selecao, the team has experienced one of its worst run of forms in decades. This has lead to fans back in Brazil to tag Gomes, and most of the current crop of national team players as huge ”flops”.
Wolves have eight games to fight for Premier League safety, if they fail to stay up, they may be forced to sell Gomes and other key players.
