Liverpool are set to make a breakthrough in contract talks.
The reds have their hands full ahead of what is set to be a big summer. Liverpool have major plans to revamp the current squad ahead of next season. Arne Slot will be backed in the upcoming window to improve the first team. The reds have to sort out the futures of key players at the club before any major moves can be made.
Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk are out of contract this summer. The trio all look likely to leave Liverpool after their success with the club. Salah especially is hoping to end this season with a Premier League trophy. The reds sit top of the table with a 13-point gap.

Liverpool defender set to sign new deal

The futures of Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold are priority for the club ahead of this summer. As it stands, nothing concrete has been confirmed. Salah and Van Dijk are most likely to remain at Anfield ahead of next season. Meanwhile, Trent continues to be linked with a move away from the club. According to reports, the defender has now mage a huge decision over his future.
Liverpool also have to deal with Ibrahima Konate, Caomhin Kelleher and Andrew Robertson. All three have a year remaining on their contracts. Konate is being monitored by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Caomhin Kelleher is almost certain to leave this summer, and Liverpool will reportedly offer Robertson a short-term extension.
One player who is set to remain at Anfield long term is Conor Bradley. Liverpool are set to offer the defender a huge new deal. Bradely will reportedly sign a five-year extension with a salary of up to £75,000-a-week; a significant pay rise on his current £10,000-a-week contract. The deal could be signed as early as the end of this season.
Reds to tie down their future
Liverpool are making a huge move to tie Conor Bradley down long term. The defender has shown he is capable of replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold. Arne Slot is also a big fan of the defender:
“Conor Bradley has done well, and that’s because he’s playing with plenty of freedom,”
“If Trent leaves Liverpool in the summer, the club would be absolutely fine with their replacements as they’ve got Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez, who are both great players.”
The club need to learn from the current Trent Alexander-Arnold saga.
