Liverpool have been dealing with a lot of contract negotiations this season. Three key players, Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have their contracts expiring at the end of the season.
Evidently, The Reds are looking for replacements if things go south. However, the management is pretty calm regarding the matter and is scouring the transfer market like an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Lately, there has been no concrete update regarding these players’ contract situations. Hence, searching for replacements in potential future gaps would be a better strategy but Liverpool remain calm despite the uncertainties.

Liverpool make contact with Bundesliga star

According to Sky Sports correspondent Florian Plettenberg, The Reds have shown a keen interest in Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush.
Despite having three options for the left wing, Arne Slot is keen on having another forward in place down the left flank. Many would argue that focusing on retaining current players or signing replacements would be a better use of Slot’s time.
Eintracht Frankfurt are currently demanding a transfer fee of between €50-60m for Omar #Marmoush.
Liverpool is indeed a serious option. The interest is real, and there has already been contact between the player’s camp and #LFC. #SGE are aware of it.

The Eagles are currently demanding a transfer fee of £42-50 million for the Egyptian star. The Reds are serious as they’ve already made contact with the player’s camp.
Marmoush on the other hand wants to play in the Premier League adding mutual interest in the mix. Plettenberg claims he’d immediately agree to join Liverpool if the chance arises.
The 25-year-old remains one of the best forwards in both the Bundesliga and Europe this season. He has assisted seven times already in 11 appearances. The Egyptian also has 10 goals to his name topping the Bundesliga scorer’s chart against the likes of Harry Kane.
Omar also stands on the top of the assist chart showing not only his goal-scoring threat but creative abilities. In regards to his contract, the 25-year-old has two and a half years left in Germany.
With Liverpool trying to swoop him in January or the coming summer, Frankfurt has the advantage over the negotiations. Whether The Reds go for Marmoush or will circumstances force them down the right is to be seen.
