Liverpool are on the verge of bringing in their first summer signing as the club push hard to sign new faces early in the transfer window. Arne Slot is set to get properly backed after delivering the Premier League title in his first season at Anfield.

The Reds are set to bring in the first summer signing

The Merseyside giants have been in conversations with the representatives of Milos Kerkez for months, and have been the favourites to land him.

Real Madrid and Manchester City have been trying to hijack the deal, but according to the Daily Mirror, Kerkez is set to become the first summer signing at Anfield.

Negotiations have been at an advanced stage between Liverpool and the defender’s agents, and the club are set to soon hold talks with Bournemouth.

The Cherries expect to sell the Hungarian and are prepared to sanction his exit as long as they get a deal worth £45m from his departure.

Kerkez is sold on the move and has been in contact with Liverpool to plead to move to Anfield ahead of the 2025/26 season.

He is seen as the long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, and will add much-needed quality to the squad.
