Liverpool face £17m transfer bombshell for stunning Serie A star

Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes and his recruitment team are working hard to set up deals ahead of the summer transfer window. However, the pursuit of certain players is expected to be more than a bit complicated in the coming weeks and months.

Arne Slot wants to reinforce his attack to end the club’s overdependence on Mo Salah. However, the Liverpool manager also wants reinforcements in defence and midfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure will lead to the signing of a new right-back even though the club have not ruled out internal solutions ahead of next season.

Liverpool have been looking at several right-backs, and the club are now pushing to bring in a solution from Italy in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Reds want to snare a top star from Serie A giants

Liverpool’s search for a new right-back has seen several twists and turns, with the club ending their interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Fimpong.

The Merseyside giants are now seriously considering their hands on Juventus’ 22-year-old right-back Nicolo Savona in the upcoming transfer window.

Manchester City, West Ham, Bournemouth and Bayer Leverkusen also have their eyes on the young defender ahead of the end of the season.

However, according to journalist Mirko Di Natale, Juventus do not want to sell the right-back in the upcoming transfer window.

The Serie A giants have no plans to sell, but could be open to selling the defender if the market dynamics dictate a sale.

Juventus initially wanted somewhere around £17m from his sale, but that price could go up due to interest from several Premier League clubs.

Liverpool have been keeping tabs on him and are set to approach his representative soon to discuss a potential transfer.
