Liverpool recieve massive boost in pursuit of €50m Premier League star

Liverpool are still identifying the areas of their squad that need strengthening in the next summer transfer window. Richard Hughes and his team with manager Arne Slot will continue to to look at the team for the rest of the season.

The Reds already have an idea of what they want to do in the next summer transfer window. They are expected to sign a defensive midfielder, a centre-back and a striker at least ahead of next season.

Liverpool will also have to know which players could leave at the end of the season and filling some areas of their squad would depend on departures from the squad.

Hughes and his recruitment team are assessing left-backs with suggestions that Kostas Tsimikas could be moved on in the next summer transfer window.

Liverpool are looking at several left-backs both in the Premier League and in Europe and certain names are towards the top of their shortlist of targets.

The club have one less rival to worry about in pursuit of a top left-back

Liverpool are keeping tabs on several left-backs but Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez is said to be one of their top targets for next summer.

Hughes played a big role in signing him for Bournemouth and is exploring taking him to Anfield at the end of the season.

However, Liverpool have been wary of interest from Manchester United who are also considering taking him to Old Trafford next summer.

But according to Sky Deutschland, Manchester United’s interest in the defender is not as serious as previously thought.

Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?

Kerkez is on Manchester United’s radar but he is not one of the top targets for the Red Devils next summer.

This is good news for Liverpool who would not have wanted to go head-to-head with Manchester United for Kerkez given the latter’s financial capacity.

Alphonso Davies is believed to be a top target for the Red Devils who have offered him a massive contract to the Bayern Munich star.

With Manchester United unlikely to move for Kerkez, Liverpool could have a clear run at the left-back next summer.
