Liverpool player now has missing trait needed to be a £120 million footballer

Liverpool have been delightful to watch this season and Luis Diaz has been a big part of why.

The Colombian was untouchable in the opening three games of the season with his pace and unpredictability resulting in three goals and an assist.

James Pearce believes that his end product could see him go up in value. Hopefully, Liverpool don’t think about selling him but it’s good to know that the wider football world is appreciating his talent.

Speaking on the Walk On podcast, said: “When you think that we’re at the start of September and he’s already got three in three, that end product, I think, is the difference between him being a £100 million footballer and probably a £120 million footballer.

“Because he’s got everything else, and he just needs that composure in the final third.

“And you know, whatever Slot is doing with him on the training field at the minute seems to be working.”

Diaz has gone up a notch this season and from now on, it’s all about finding the consistency needed to take Liverpool from a third-place finish last season to being champions.

Of course, that won’t depend solely on how Diaz performs but that being said, if he can operate at world-class levels on a consistent basis, it might be what Liverpool need to win more big games than last season.

Liverpool only won three games out of 10 against the Premier League top six, picking up 14 points from a possible 30.

Those missing 16 points would have been more than enough to make up the nine points that separate the eventual champions Manchester City from Liverpool.

Diaz is the perfect player to help Mohamed Salah in the big games. Ever since he moved to the Premier League, teams have been afraid of Diaz’s pace and trickery, but now they are beginning to see how dangerous he really can be.
