Liverpool interested in £85 million Premier League star

Liverpool expect to invest in forwards next summer as sporting director Richard Hughes and manager Arne Slot look to add more goals and creativity to their squad at the end of the season.

The Reds sit at the summit of the Premier League table and the club do not feel that they need reinforcements in Janaury to sustain their title challenge in the latter half of the season.

Arne Slot is happy with the depth of his squad and is unlikely to demand any new signings in the winter window but he has plans for the team next summer.

The Liverpool manager wants to add more goals to his squad and the club are tracking strikers and wide forwards with a view to adding to their attacking options in the next transfer window.

The Merseyside giants are also looking at options in the Premier League and while it would cost them more money, the potential new recruits would not need much time to settle down given their experience in the English top flight.

The club have their eyes on an attacker with a big release clause

Liverpool are looking at wide attackers who can add a different dimension to their squad next season if they can take them to Anfield.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus has emerged as a target for the Merseyside giants for the next summer transfer window.

Kudus has struggled like the rest of the West Ham team this season but is rated highly by several clubs in the Premier League.

Liverpool are monitoring him but he has also attracted the interest from north London club Arsenal for a move at the end of the season.

However, any move for Kudus would be expensive as he has a massive £85m release clause in his West Ham contract.

He has three years left on his current deal and the Hammers intend to stand firm on the release clause and are unlikely to negotiate a transfer fee for his departure.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool are prepared to trigger the massive clause in his contract next summer.
