Liverpool are setting up plans for the upcoming transfer windows as the club look to prepare for an evolution of their squad under sporting director Richard Hughes.
Fans were left disappointed by Liverpool’s lacklustre summer transfer window when they failed to secure the priorities they had in the market.
Liverpool want to be more aggressive in the January transfer window and the club are expected to try and bring in a defensive midfielder in the middle of the season.
However, the Reds are plotting for next summer when they could be in the market to find a replacement for Mohamed Salah who could move on at the end of his contract.
Several players are being watched by the Merseyside giants as they prepare for the possibility of the Egyptian superstar leaving at the end of the season.
Dan Ndoye is a player the Reds are watching and the player has already indicated that he would not feel intimidated by the prospect of replacing Salah at Anfield.
Liverpool likely to table offer for the Bologna winger
Ndoye has a contract until 2027 with Bologna but is expected to move on from the Italian club next summer.
He has suitors in Serie A where Inter Milan are great admirers of the player and want to take him to the San Siro at the end of the season.
Liverpool have been linked with an interest in him and according to InterLive, the Reds are increasingly likely to make a concrete offer for the player.
Ndoye is liked by the club’s recruitment department and the club are considering putting in an offer for him sooner rather than later.
The Merseyside giants are still working on their plans for the upcoming windows but the Bologna winger is a major part of their thinking.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool try to sign him in Janaury or are prepared to wait until the summer.
