Liverpool are in the market for a £69m midfielder who can serve as a replacement for Alexis Mac Allister. The prospective option is currently at a major European powerhouse.
Mac Allister arrived from Brighton on an initial fee of £35 million. Playing under Jurgen Klopp was a defensive midfielder, he flourished more under Arne Slot last term. Leading the club to a Premier League, he was nominated for the Balon d’Or, finishing 22nd.
But things have somewhat fallen off the wayside this season. The Argentine has found it difficult to adapt to Slot’s tactical demands.

Liverpool in for Mac Allister replacement

Alexis Mac Allister has appeared in seven of Liverpool’s eight Premier League games this season. The manager has backed him enough to give him a start in the line-up.
But he has not lasted the entire game in any of the fixtures. The closest he came to playing the game entire game was against Chelsea where he was subbed off with six minutes to go.
Eduardo Camavinga is now an option to take Mac Allister’s place. Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that the Real Madrid star is on his way out since falling down the pecking order.
Can also be an additional option
Despite interest in Camaving, Mac Allister shouldn’t be out of the picture. The Argentine is still technically excellent but has defensively slacked off.
A midfielder with Camavinga’s pressing can provide a much-needed balance to the side both in defense and in attack. His style seems to be perfect for Slot. And at just 22, he is more than a man for the future.
With over 180 appearances for Madrid, he provides an excellent mix of youth and experience. The Frenchman and the Argentine can even combine. Even transfer rumours suggest that such a thing can happen.
If Liverpool can indeed sign the Camavinga, it can provide an excellent balance and depth to the heart of Anfield’s midfield.
