Liverpool are ready to move on certain players this summer who are not part of Arne Slot’s plans, but have not been expecting any unwanted sales. However, an Arne Slot favourite could be moving on in a shock deal due to interest from one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
The Merseyside giants have shown ambition and intent in the market, which is displayed in their pursuit of Florian Wirtz in the ongoing summer transfer window.
However, Liverpool are also under pressure to sell and reshape the squad, with a number of fringe stars expected to move on from the club in the coming weeks.
Arne Slot has already identified several players who could be moved on, but one of his favourite stars could be sold in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Cody Gakpo has emerged as a top target for German champions Bayern Munich, who are pushing to sign him in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Liverpool’s official stance is not to sell him, but the club are open to changing their plans if a club are prepared to offer a fee in the region of £59m and £67m.
Bayern Munich have encouragement to pursue Gakpo, and according to German magazine Kicker, the club are in talks with the Dutchman’s representatives.
They are pushing ahead to try and find an agreement with the player and his camp before approaching Liverpool.
Bayern Munich will need a few player sales before they can afford to sign Gakpo, who will cost more than £59m this summer.
However, the German champions are in the race to sign him, and Liverpool are open to doing a deal if a club are willing to negotiate at their price point.
