An Arne Slot favourite could leave Anfield this summer
Cody Gakpo has emerged as a top target for German champions Bayern Munich, who are pushing to sign him in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Liverpool’s official stance is not to sell him, but the club are open to changing their plans if a club are prepared to offer a fee in the region of £59m and £67m.
Bayern Munich have encouragement to pursue Gakpo, and according to German magazine Kicker, the club are in talks with the Dutchman’s representatives.
They are pushing ahead to try and find an agreement with the player and his camp before approaching Liverpool.
Bayern Munich will need a few player sales before they can afford to sign Gakpo, who will cost more than £59m this summer.
However, the German champions are in the race to sign him, and Liverpool are open to doing a deal if a club are willing to negotiate at their price point.
