From this month till the next international break in March, Liverpool can firmly position themselves in the race for every trophy.
The Reds are top of the Premier League after 22 games, and also top the Champions League group phase with a perfect record. If Arne Slot can overcome a 1-0 deficit to Spurs in the second leg of the League Cup, Liverpool could be set to win the quadruple.
There is belief around Anfield that success this season could convince some players to stay at the club. Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are out of contract in the summer, and one would think a trophy haul this season could play a huge part in them staying at Anfield.
Quiz: Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
Arne Slot hands Liverpool huge boost

With huge upcoming games in the next few weeks, Liverpool will have to make full use of their squad. In the next four games, the Reds face Bournemouth, Everton and Spurs. This schedule has played a part in why Arne Slot made a huge decision this week.
The Liverpool boss decided to rest key first team players ahead of their Champions League clash midweek. The Reds travelled to face PSV in Holland without Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz.
Slot has now revealed that these players will have a few days off before they return to training ahead of the Bournemouth game this weekend:
”No, they will be off tomorrow. If it’s possible, we prefer to have them off three days before the game.
They will train on Thursday, so a few staff members will go back home earlier on Thursday morning, to train with those who stayed behind.”
The Liverpool boss then defended his decision to rest the players.
”They don’t need to prove themselves, we know the quality.
Like all the teams in Europe, we’re playing many many games. These players are ready, all the one that are left behind could have played tomorrow.
It doesn’t tell us anything about the game on Saturday, but for the long-term, if you look back at our season, if there was a moment to get back some freshness, we took it.”
Crunch time for the Reds
Over the next month Liverpool have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League, and also a huge chance to make the League Cup final – which could be the route to their first trophy this season.
