Liverpool have lined up some shock targets this summer.
The club is set to do a revamp of the first team when the season ends. Liverpool have been crying out for quality options on the bench since the season began. Arne Slot has had a fantastic season, as he coached this team to a very high level. However, any time some key players were absent, the team seemed to struggle.
And with three players set to leave Anfield this summer, the club will need to be active in the transfer market. Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold could all leave on free transfers when their contracts expire at the end of the season.
Quiz: Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
Liverpool considering move for Chelsea star

With Trent and Van Dijk possibly leaving this summer, Liverpool will be in the market for defensive reinforcements. Fabrizio Romano has already mentioned earlier this year that the reds will target a new defender. And with Ibrahima Konate yet to sign a new deal at Anfield, there is a possibility he could leave this summer.
According to TBR Football, Liverpool have their eye on Chelsea’s Levi Colwill. The reds have been keeping their eye on the defender, and have even reached out to representatives. As the season grows closer to an end, the chances of Virgil Van Dijk leaving grows higher. Liverpool will target a top quality replacement, like Colwill. Another options is Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen, who is also a target for Real Madrid.
The reds would need to pay in excess of £40million for the 22-year old England international.
Could Levi Colwill be Van Dijk’s replacement?
The England international has come a long way since his break out season at Brighton a few years ago. Colwill has become one of Europe’s best young defenders. He has managed to maintain his starting position in this Chelsea team which signed multiple defensive options.
His height, build and ability of the ball are very similar to Virgil Van Dijk. He would be a very decent candidate to replace the Liverpool captain. However, the stumbling block will be Chelsea not willing to sell a homegrown star. As it stands it is very unlikely the London club would even consider a sale this summer.
