Liverpool are set to make multiple additions to the first team this summer.
After seeing how well the team had done this season, Liverpool will now back Arne Slot in the transfer market. The reds boss has done a tremendous job with the current side. Before the season began, no one really gave Liverpool a chance of competing for silverware. However, Liverpool are on course to win a Premier League title this season, and narrowly missed out on the League Cup.
The reds lost to Newcastle in the final at Wembley. Ultimately, the lack of quality depth played a part in recent poor results. Cody Gakpo and Trent Alexander-Arnold were sorely missed in crucial games, and their replacements failed to add anything to the team.

Player’s father makes Liverpool commitment

The list of players set to leave Liverpool this summer continues to grow. Outside the main three players out of contract soon, some first team stars may be moved when the upcoming window opens. Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk are yet to commit to long-term deals, and could all leave on free transfers.
One player who is set to remain at Anfield this summer is Federico Chiesa. The Italian has been in the news recently. According to reports, Chiesa is focused on staying at Liverpool this summer. Chiesa came off the bench to score in the League Cup final, which gave Liverpool fans hope of what he could do with more minutes.
Now, the Italian international’s father has come out to ensure that his son will stay in England:
“Federico is doing very well at Liverpool, he is in a top club that is first in the standings and now we hope he wins the Premier League! He is there to play his cards, he has a great chance. This summer I told him what I have been telling him since I was a child. Because, in reality, he didn’t play often until he was 15 and when he asked me ‘What should I do?’ I told him to continue training, not to give up, to be ready when his time came.”
Chiesa has played just 11 games this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
