Liverpool have been clear about wanting to hold on to their best players in the ongoing transfer window, and a top star has now done a complete U-turn on his future after months of speculation about him potentially leaving the club ahead of next season.
The Merseyside giants are set to spend a British record fee on Florian Wirtz, and have other plans, which include another big-money move for a top-class wide forward.
However, Arne Slot has been clear about not wanting to sell any of his best players, and has directed the club to reward some of his top stars with new contracts.

Ibrahima Konate has a year left on his contract, and the club still do not have an agreement in place with his representatives over a new deal.
A fresh round of talks took place between the two sides towards the end of last month and the beginning of June, and there is now optimism about reaching an agreement.
Daily Mail’s Liverpool correspondent Lewis Steele has also revealed that he is now more confident of Konate signing a new contract than he was towards the end of last season.
“If you asked me about Konate a month ago, I would’ve said I would’ve been worried about him”, Steele said on his YouTube channel.
“The fact he has a year left and Madrid want him, but what he has said to us since I’ve spoken to him at games has calmed my feelings on that, and I think he will end up extending. That’s my gut feeling, but a month ago, I wasn’t so sure.”
Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi Pro League clubs have been monitoring his situation at Anfield.
