Liverpool have multiple transfer targets ahead of this summer.
The reds will be looking to revamp the squad after this season. Liverpool signed two permanent first team stars over the course of the season. Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili joined in the summer, but the Georgian keeper was sent back out on loan for the rest of the campaign.
Arne Slot has had a whole campaign to run the rule over the current crop of players. His new system has brought the best out of first team players like Ryan Gravenberch. Heading into the summer, the Liverpool boss has reportedly asked for new attackers.
Slot feels he cannot rely on the options outside Mohamed Salah. It will not be a surprise to see Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez made available for sale this summer. Jota has already been linked with a shock move to Newcastle United.

Liverpool and Man City to challenge for star midfielder
Liverpool will also have to worry about potential departures. Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all out of contract this summer, and could leave Anfield.
The reds have also been linked with midfield targets over the course of this season. Liverpool were in the race for Joshua Kimmich before he signed a new contract with Bayern Munich. The reds continue to be linked with Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong. According to Caught Offside, Liverpool are interested in Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson. The 20-year old has been linked with other Premier League clubs. Manchester City are said to be in contact with the midfielder. Larsson is valued around €60-70million by the German club.
Will Larsson fit in at Anfield?
The midfielder joined Frankfurt from Malmo in 2023. He is young, but now has two seasons of top level experience under his belt. It might take a bit of adapting but he has the potential to become a very good player. If anyone is the best coach to bring out midfield talent, it is Arne Slot.
Ryan Gravenberch has credited the Dutch coach with his form this season:
“Now I play a lot of games as a starter, so it’s a little bit different. The coach gave me confidence when I needed it and I’m happy that I can show myself again,” Gravenberch told TNT Sports.
