Liverpool will be active in the transfer market this summer.
After a quiet season, the club are set to make some well needed changes to the first team squad. Arne Slot has now had close to a full year with the current crop of players. The Liverpool boss can now see who deserves to stay ahead of next season, and who will leave Anfield.
It has been reported that the main targets will be a defender and a striker, but other areas will be addressed. Liverpool are currently looking at Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson, who is a target for Manchester City.

Liverpool are set to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer. The defender is said to have agreed to a long-term deal with Real Madrid. The reds will now have to find a replacement for the England international. Reports within the club have claimed Conor Bradley is ready to become the permanent starter, but it looks like he will have competition for the role.
One target on Liverpool’s shortlist this summer is Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso. The Italian international has been on the radar of Manchester City and was heavily linked with a move in January. Heading into the summer, his agent Giovanni Bia has spoken about his client’s future:
“At the moment, he is not interested in anything. His objective is Juventus and to do very well there. He is absolutely happy at Juventus, he has always said it in a thousand ways and in a thousand places. His dream is to bring Juventus back to the highest levels, to play for Juventus and to have a great career at Juventus, helping the club to return to winning ways on a par with the biggest European clubs.
“But I have no doubts that within one or two years he will make a big move.”
Cambiaso is a very interesting prospect. He can play both fullback roles and has even deputized in midfield. It was part of the reason Pep Guardiola and Manchester City took an interest in him. Juventus reportedly wanted around €65million for the 25-year old.
