Two Germans legends have reached their verdict on a Liverpool transfer. Both feel the player needs to ‘adjust a bit’ to the rigours of the Premier League.
Life in the Premier League is not easy for all. Many reputed players have failed to get themselves going in England. Plying his trade at Manchester United, Juan Sebastian Veron is one such notable player. Meanwhile Luis Suarez found himself flourishing at Liverpool.
Adding to the high weight of expectations is the high price tag. Two former World Cup winners however have already arrived at a conclusion. One of them even has experience of playing English league football.

Since arriving from Bayern Leverkusen, Florian Wirtz has been under a lot of scrutiny. Bringing him to Anfield on a then club record deal, the German is experiencing a struggle on the pitch.
Failing to find the net even once, his only goal contribution has been an assist in the Community Shield season opening loss to Crystal Palace.
However countrymen Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philipp Lahm feel different. Speaking on the sidelines of German Football Hall of Fame ceremony Basti feels Wirtz needs some time.
“We have to give the players a bit of time. Especially when you move from the Bundesliga to the Premier League, you also have to adjust a bit. I’ve experienced that myself (at Manchester United). “He will delight us all in the future.”
The former midfielder is happy to have Wirtz in the national side. “Florian Wirtz is a fantastic footballer, a great character. We should be happy that we have such a player in Germany”, he stated.
Bastian was inducted into the Hall of Fame by his teammate Philipp Lahm. The 2014 World Cup winning captain finds no concerning signs, “I’m not worried about Florian Wirtz at all because he’s such an outstanding, brilliant player who simply makes his teammates better.”
“Quality and class always prevail, and that will absolutely be the case with Florian Wirtz”, he added.
