Liverpool transfer to be hijacked by audacious Bayern and Barca

A Liverpool transfer may fall apart with both Bayern Munich and Barcelona attempting an audacious hijacking of the deal. Everyone in the know how were believing this was a done deal, but things have seemingly changed.

With Ibrahim Konate joining Giovanni Leonni in the medical room, Liverpool need some shoring up on the defensive front. The 18-year old Italian is suffering from a torn ACL and will likely be out till the end of the season. The extent of Konate’s ‘quad ‘ injury is unknown at this moment.

Additionally Konate’s contract is expiring at the end of the season. The Frenchman has been involved with ongoing talks with Liverpool but his mind is set on leaving Anfield. The 26-year old is eyeing a move to Real Madrid this summer on a free transfer.

And now Arne Slot’s possible replacement option may not join the Reds after all.

The ongoing saga surrounding Marc Guéhi has seen a lot of twists and turns. From being a done deal at £35m deal, to a last minute collapse. The fate of the English international is still hanging in the balance.

Sky Sports Germany’s Florien Plettenberg had reported about Bayern having approached the player’s representatives. And now according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have also thrown their hat into the ring. This is after reports that two other clubs are also lining up their own bids.

The player himself is wanting a move out of Crystal Palace. Negotiations came to no use with the 25-year old choosing not to extend his stay. The player will be a free agent in the summer but Palace are desperately trying to cash in on the player.

The Eagles will be selling the defender in January rather than letting him go for free. But with two European giants joining the fray, it will be down to a bidding war to secure the player’s services.
