Jose Enrique believes Liverpool should raid Newcastle United for Allan Saint-Maximin and new-signing Alexander Isak.
Liverpool have had a stuttering start to the season and some of that is partly down to their transfer business as well as their fitness issues.
Despite signing Darwin Nunez from Benfica, the 23-year-old has failed to settle into life on Merseyside so far and former Liverpool and Premier League player has picked two players who he believes would change their fortunes.
Both signings would be major signings, but Newcastle boasts the richest owners in world football means these players would likely stick around to see how the project develops – and it would cost huge amounts to secure their signatures.

Enrique tips attacking stars for big moves
Enrique explained his view on who Liverpool could move for, including arguably the league’s most exciting winger Saint-Maximin, as he told Lord Pring.
“With the talent and quality that Allan-Saint Maximin has, he can go as far as he wants in his career,” he told Lord Pring.
“He has to be consistent because that’s what he’s been lacking. When he is in form he can destroy any defender in the world. If he can become consistent, he can play for Liverpool, Many City or anywhere in the world that he wants.”
He also claimed that Newcastle’s new forward signing Isak, who scored at Anfield and had another ruled out for offside, would be a great move for Liverpool.

“Alexander Isak can become a world-class striker,” he added. “I love Newcastle’s signings in the transfer window – Eddie Howe is using the money they have wisely.
“I think Isak would’ve been an excellent signing for Liverpool last summer so I’m very happy that Newcastle signed him because he can be a very important player for Newcastle.
Liverpool had made an ‘informal’ offer for the Swedish forward earlier this year, according to Mundo Deportivo, with an offer of around €70M.
Isak and Saint-Maximin will be good enough to play for a top side in the coming years, but it’s likely Newcastle wouldn’t part with two of their most prized assets for anything less than a huge transfer fee.
