‘Done deal’, Liverpool confirmed to sign Premier League star

Liverpool are set to complete the signing of a Premier League star, with confirmation emerging from multiple trusted sources. The move marks a major step in Arne Slot’s summer rebuild as the Reds look to add proven domestic talent to their squad ahead of the new season.

The Merseyside giants have shown intent and ambition in the market this summer and have turned heads with the moves they have made since the end of last season.

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz is set to complete his move to Liverpool this week for a deal worth up to £116m, which would be a British transfer record.

Liverpool are also closing in on a deal to sign one more Premier League star, who has been a massive target for sporting director Richard Hughes this summer.

Liverpool have a verbal agreement in place with Milos Kerkez, but negotiations with Bournemouth have been more complicated than anticipated.

However, Kerkez’s father has claimed that a deal to take the player to Liverpool is all but done, and the clubs are only working on the finer details of the agreement.

He highlighted the importance of Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes in convincing the left-back to move to Anfield.

“It’s only Liverpool for us and we’re not going anywhere else and we won’t talk to other clubs”, Kerkez’s father told Serbian YouTube channel Super Indirektno kod Popa i Milana.

“Everything is done between us [personal terms], we just need to sort out some details, but it’s basically a done deal.

“We made that decision. Richard Hughes signed Milos for Bournemouth, and that’s a man who keeps his promises, and if he said to us ‘we’re going to India’ we’ll go to him to India.”

Liverpool will pay a club-record fee for a full-back once the deal to take Kerkez to Anfield goes through.
