Serie A giants are reportedly closing in on a shock deal for a Liverpool forward who has scored 40 goals for the club, according to fresh reports. The unnamed Italian side is said to be in advanced negotiations, with the Reds open to a summer departure under the right conditions. The deal, if completed, would mark one of the more unexpected moves of the window, and a significant reshuffle in Liverpool’s attacking options.
Liverpool are set to focus on player sales in the next few weeks following the arrival of Milos Kerkez, who will become the third new signing for the first team this summer.
The Premier League champions need to move on a few players soon to raise funds and streamline the squad for the arrival of more new signings later in the window.

Napoli close in on deal to sign the Liverpool forward

According to CaughtOffSide, talks have accelerated between Napoli and Liverpool for Nunez to move to Italy in the ongoing transfer window.
Liverpool would prefer to sell him to Saudi Arabia, but the striker wants to stay in Italy, and the Serie A champions have emerged as the favourites to sign him.
The two clubs are still some way away from reaching an agreement, as there is a difference of about £7m between the valuations.
Liverpool want £43m from the sale of the striker, but Napoli have so far offered around £36m during negotiations.
However, Nunez’s departure will suit everyone, and the two clubs are expected to finalise a compromise sooner rather than later.
The forward has approved the move to Napoli and is waiting for the two clubs to work out an agreement over a fee.
