Liverpool will make some major changes ahead of next season.
Arne Slot is pushing to end this campaign with silverware. The reds continue to march on, as they could win a potential treble. Liverpool’s first final is up against Newcastle for the League Cup next month. Paris Saint-Germain awaits in the Round of 16 of the Champions League.
Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League. Their 2-0 win over Newcastle midweek stretched the gap to 13 points ahead of Arsenal. Slot was impressed with how his side handled the win at Anfield:
”To show up the way we did tonight, hardly conceding a chance against a very good team like Newcastle, is a big compliment for the players [in] how they handled these five games in 15 days.”
Quiz: Can you name the team Liverpool signed these players from?
Cole Palmer linked with Liverpool move

Arne Slot has reportedly asked for reinforcements in attack ahead of next season. Mohamed Salah has carried the attack for most of this campaign. The forward is the club’s top scorer in the Premier League with 25 goals. Luis Diaz is second-highest in the team with 9 goals. The gap in quality might be the reason why Liverpool will enter the market this summer. Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez will be made available for sale to get funds to invest in the team. Nunez has attracted a lot of interest ahead of this summer, with some big clubs mentioned.
Fomer Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has tipped Cole Palmer to make a move to Liverpool. The Chelsea star’s body language has showed frustration with recent results. Yorke thinks Palmer would be a great fit for the Liverpool team:
“Where is he [Palmer] going to go and become a top player and the top man? Liverpool? Maybe Man United, he said he’s a Man United fan, but he won’t go there because he’s a City man. Outside of that is Arsenal, he won’t go there because Bukayo Saka is there.
“Liverpool might be an option if Mo Salah were to leave, so that might be something that they might look to do. So, watch this space with that if Mo Salah leaves.”
Could the Chelsea star make the move?
Despite what Dwight Yorke thinks, it will be very unlikely for Cole Palmer to leave London so soon. Chelsea spent a lot of money on the player and will see to reap every penny. That does not change the fact that Liverpool need a player of exceptional quality to replace Mohamed Salah if he leaves this summer.
