Another club could end their deal for this Liverpool first team star before the Monday deadline.
Liverpool are not expecting any players to join before the transfer deadline. It has been a quiet winter transfer window at Anfield, just like in the summer. Federico Chiesa was the only permanent first team signing by the club. Now, with just hours before the deadline on Monday night, Liverpool could have some activity.
The past week gave Arne Slot the chance to assess which players he would keep till the end of the season. The Dutch coach highlighted James McConnell as one player he is high on.

Ahead of the deadline, it has been widely reported that at least one player will leave the club. Jayden Danns has been linked with a move to Sunderland. The Championship club is pushing to sign the Reds youngster who has already scored three goals this season. Tyler Morton has also been linked with a move to West Ham United.
Last week, Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic ended his loan at Red Bull Salzburg. After falling out of favour and spending close to a month on the bench, the reds stepped in to cancel the loan. Bajcetic has now joined La Liga side Las Palmas.
Another Liverpool youngster could have his loan terminated. Luke Chambers is set to leave Wigan after making only 10 league appearances this season. Wigan boss Shaun Maloney hinted that his side could terminate Chambers’ loan this week:
“We might have to wait until Monday evening on that one,” said Maloney. “I’m not sure how that looks percentage wise, but we’ll give him every possible chance to come back. Liverpool are in regular contact with our medical staff, and I’ve stayed in contact with Luke…he’s a great lad.
“If it happens and he comes back, then great…if not, we’ll have to take it from there…but he was a great player for us and hopefully we haven’t seen the last of him. That will be their call, they’ll make that decision…and in fairness, they’ve been absolutely brilliant with the whole thing. Whatever they think is right, we’ll be fine with the decision.”
What happens to Luke Chambers?
The youngster was a regular in the Wigan first team at the start of the season. However, a back issue stopped his progress and kept him out of the team for a while. This has frustrated Maloney, who is a fan of the young defender. Chambers’ availability is the main issue now, and if both clubs see it fit to cancel the loan, the 21-year old may be back at Anfield on Monday night.
