Liverpool are set to miss out on a huge transfer target as another Premier League club gets involved.
The reports from Anfield have suggested that the club have a list of transfer plans for the summer. Liverpool’s priority currently is to see out the season before making any major decisions. The club already have their hands full with the contracts of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
Off field rumours seem to have distracted everyone on how good Liverpool have been this season. Arne Slot has made the best out of the current squad. The reds boss has brought the best out of some players who struggled last season.
Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo are part of the best frontline in the league, while Ryan Gravenberch is a contender for Premier League player of the Year.

Aside the players who have turned their careers around at Anfield, the club’s best players have showed up this season. Trent Alexander-Arnold has been back to his best after a down season last year, and Virgil Van Dijk has anchored one of the best defensive units in the league. Mohamed Salah continues to prove that he is one of the best attackers in the Premier League era. The forward climbed up the list of all-time top scorers with his brace against Bournemouth.
All three players are set to depart in the summer, if they do not sign new deals. This has prompted Liverpool to start looking for potential replacements. Andrew Robertson has declined over the last year, and the reds have a player lined up to replace him.
Slavia Prague wingback El Hadji Malick Diouf is on the radar of Europe’s top clubs. The left footer has six goals in the Czech First League. According to Alan Nixon, Brighton have launched a shock £15million bid for the youngster. Earlier this week, Diouf’s agent revealed that multiple clubs, including Liverpool, have presented offers for the player.

Reds should be worried
Brighton have made it their policy to snap up young talents across Europe. The club’s model is to make profit off these players. Diouf is an outstanding talent, who is highly rated. Liverpool need to act fast as possible to secure a move. At the rumoured price of €20million, the left wingback would be an affordable target with long term upside.
