Liverpool dump £50m star in blockbuster swap deal

The Merseyside giants have made some bold moves in the market this summer, and the club are keen to get creative to get deals over the line. Liverpool are considering offering a top player in a swap deal to land their priority target for the next transfer window.

Liverpool have walked the talk since winning the Premier League last season, and are keen to build on the squad from a position of strength in the ongoing transfer window.

The Merseyside giants have confirmed Jeremie Frimpong’s arrival this summer and have been in talks to sign Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez in the coming weeks.

However, the headline-grabbing move from Liverpool so far has been the negotiations for Florian Wirtz, and the Reds are now willing to get more creative to land their top target.

A Liverpool star could get dumped in a monumental swap deal in the ongoing transfer window

Bayer Leverkusen have rejected Liverpool’s club-record £110m offer for Wirtz this summer, but negotiations are still ongoing and the player is still expected to end up at Anfield.

The two clubs are now considering a monumental transfer swap deal that would see a Liverpool player join Leverkusen as part of an agreement this summer.

According to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, Leverkusen are considering signing either Harvey Elliott or Jarell Quansah as part of a swap deal.

Elliott, who is rated at £50m by Liverpool, is expected to move on from Anfield and has several suitors in the Premier League this summer.

He would be open to a move to Germany and would be a direct replacement for Wirtz in the Leverkusen team.

Quansah, whose price has been fixed at £30m, has also been linked with a move away from the Merseyside giants in the ongoing transfer window.
