Liverpool are braced for multiple exits when the transfer window opens.
The reds were not active in both transfer windows this season. Federico Chiesa was the only first team signing who actually played under Arne Slot this year. The Liverpool boss has had to deal with the squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp.
Slot was doing a fantastic job considering his options available on the field. However, the past few months have been cruel on the Liverpool squad. Injuries and fitness problems have forced absences in the team. The lack of quality depth was very apparent in the losses to Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United in the same week.
Liverpool have exited two competitions, but can still end the season with a Premier League trophy.
Quiz: Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
Bayern Munich target Liverpool star

Arne Slot has made it known behind the scenes that he is not a fan of the club’s attacking options. The Liverpool boss dropped Darwin Nunez to the bench this season in favour of Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz. Heading into this summer, Liverpool are set to bring in new faces to fix the attacking problems. Mohamed Salah has leaned closer to staying at Anfield in recent weeks, after rejecting a huge Saudi offer.
But the reds may lose on key first team player. According to Fichajes, Bayern Munich has shown a strong interest in Cody Gakpo and are willing to pay big money for the forward. Gakpo has 16 goals and five assists this season despite making just 25 starts in all competitions.
The report claims Bayern will make a huge push for Gakpo this summer, with the Bundesliga side prepared to offer a whopping €90million for the 25-year old.
Should the reds cash in on Cody Gakpo?
Selling Cody Gakpo this summer would be a terrible move. The Dutch international has shown his quality this season after a very quiet first year in England. Gakpo has been a solid contributor to the team this campaign, and has been the only reliable attacker outside Mohamed Salah. The forward’s absence was felt when he was not fit enough to start against Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United.
For everything he has achieved this season, Gakpo deserves another year with Slot in the team. The former Feyenoord boss seems to bring the best out of the Dutch international.
