Liverpool will reportedly back Arne Slot this summer. Fichajes report that a significant transfer war chest will be made available. Slot has reportedly asked for three names this summer: Alessandro Bastoni, Xavi Simons and Julian Alvarez.
Julian Alvarez has been in incredible form since joining Atletico Madrid this summer. The Argentine forward has 16 goals and 7 assists in all competitions this season. Alvarez would be a great fit in the striking role under Arne Slot; he is able to drop deep and link play as well as score goals – something Liverpool’s attack have missed this campaign. Darwin Nunez has attracted interest from the Spanish side.
RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons is also reportedly on the transfer list. Simons’ versatility fits exactly what Arne Slot needs. According to reports, the Dutch coach wants players who can fill multiple roles in attack. Xavi Simons can play in midfield and attack. Before his injury this campaign, he had eight goals and five assists.
Liverpool could sign their replacement for Virgil Van Dijk. Fichajes also reports that the reds will go after Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni. The reds could lose three defenders this summer, and will desperately need reinforcements in the backline. Bastoni would cost a lot of money to sign.
