Liverpool have identified a shortlist of targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
The end of this season holds a lot of importance in the reds’ plans. Liverpool will make changes to the team this summer, and a lot of what happens between now and then will be crucial. The club are yet to renew deals for Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk.
The Dutch defender shut down any rumours of him signing a new deal at Anfield.
Liverpool made their first cup final, after beating Spurs in the League Cup. The trophy could be the first of many in this campaign.

Arne Slot and Liverpool target Real Madrid star

Ahead of the summer transfer window, Liverpool are already preparing for departures. The club are reportedly looking at replacements for Salah, Trent and Van Dijk. Many changes will be made to the squad. Arne Slot will also have a say on who joins the team, and who leaves Anfield.
Liverpool are targeting Real Madrid forward Brahim Diaz. The Moroccan is said to be highly rated by Arne Slot. Fichajes reports that Slot is impressed by the forward’s versatility. Diaz has played across the front three and even in midfield during his time at Madrid. This would allow him to fit in Slot’s system, as the Dutch coach has used wide players in central roles so far. Diaz had 12 goals and nine assists in all competitions last season, mainly from the bench.
There is a slight feeling that Diaz could be convinced to leave the Champions League holders. He would get more playing time with the reds. The 25-year old has two years remaining on his current contract. Liverpool could be able to get the player depending on the fee.
Is Brahim Diaz a feasible target?
Diaz is a rotation player at Real Madrid, and has accepted his role in the team. He does not start often and is called upon to change games from the bench. This could be exactly the type of player Liverpool need.
Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa have been the rotation options this season, and the duo have underwhelmed in most games. Chiesa is barely fit and Nunez has struggled in front of goal. Having an attacking option of Diaz would also ease the burden on Mohamed Salah, if the Egyptian stays.
This deal would come down to how much Real Madrid value the player.
