Liverpool are set to win the Premier League title in the coming days, and celebrations are on the cards on Merseyside soon. However, a couple of cult heroes of the Reds fanbase could be joining one of their Premier League rivals in the coming months.

Arne Slot has done a brilliant job in his first season at Anfield and is set to deliver the much-coveted and record-equalling 20th league title to the Merseyside giants soon.

The Liverpool manager has won over his detractors, and the club’s board are now prepared to bankroll him with as many as five new players in the summer transfer window.

However, the Premier League remains an elusive destination, and a couple of Liverpool cult heroes could return to England if one of their top-flight rivals have their way.

Premier League rivals eye two Reds heroes as their next manager

Jurgen Klopp is a legend at Liverpool for what he did as their manager at Anfield, and Xabi Alonso is one of the best midfielders to wear the Red jersey.

According to GiveMeSport, the two cult heroes of Liverpool are on the radar of Tottenham, who are seeking to replace Ange Postecoglou at the end of the season.

The north London club want to be bold this summer, and is keen to bring in a top-class proven manager to replace the Australian who tasted success in Scotland before moving to Tottenham.

Klopp is the head of football at the Red Bull Group, and Alonso is expected to move on from Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season.

However, the German is not expected to return to management any time soon, and the Spaniard is the favourite to replace Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

Ancelotti is the third name on Tottenham’s shortlist, who are keen to have a new manager in place as soon as the season ends.
