Liverpool are working hard behind the scenes to deliver the signings Arne Slot wants this summer to bolster his squad for the next season. The Reds have now learned a surprising detail about the terms of a deal for one of their targets, which will work in their favour.
Slot is set to deliver the 20th league title to Liverpool in his first season as manager at Anfield, and the onus is now on the board to back him properly in the summer.
The Liverpool owners are prepared to bankroll the arrival of as many as five new players, and sporting director Richard Hughes has his work cut out to finalise the negotiations.
Liverpool have already identified some of their priority targets, and the club have now learned a new detail about the terms of a potential deal for one of those players.
Can you name the team Liverpool signed these players from?
The Reds now have more details on their top target

Dean Huijsen is the priority target for Liverpool, and the club are growing confident of signing the centre-back in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have already presented the project and the financial offer to his representatives, and are now waiting for the player to decide.
He has a £50m release clause in his contract, and according to Sky Deutschland, there is a key detail in it that will favour his suitors this summer.
Normally, release clause figures are to be paid in full to get a player out of his contract, unless the selling club are willing to negotiate a deal.
However, Huijsen’s contract has a provision that would allow a buying club to pay the clause over three instalments rather than fork out the full amount.
Liverpool would avoid paying a huge sum up front if they sign Huijsen, which would leave them more cash to spend on other players in the summer.
