Liverpool will attempt to make some huge signings this summer.
The reds plan to revamp their squad ahead of next season. This comes as a seal of approval for the work Arne Slot has done in his first season in charge. Slot’s new possession-based style has brought the best out of some players in the team. The likes of Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister have benefitted greatly from having more time on the ball.
Liverpool have been formidable in attack and defence this season. However, outside Mohamed Salah, the team has lacked a cutting edge. The other forwards have failed to consistently step up this campaign. Diogo Jota has barely been fit, Luis Diaz went two months without a goal and Darwin Nunez cannot seem to earn a start in the team.

Liverpool contact Bundesliga star

As a result, Arne Slot has asked for new faces in the team ahead of next season. Liverpool will be looking for attackers who can score and create, as well as being able to play multiple positions. To fund these moves in the summer, Jota, Nunez and Luis Diaz will be made available ahead of the upcoming window. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have already registered interest in signing Diaz this summer.
Liverpool may have found a suitable option to add to their attack. Florian Plettenburg has reported that the reds have contacted Kingsley Coman over a possible move. Liverpool are in touch with the 28-year-old’s representatives. Coman is reportedly entertaining interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, where he would prefer to move to. What remains clear is that the former PSG and Juventus forward will leave Bayern Munich. Both the player and the club have a mutual understanding of their plans, and Coman will leave when the right offer comes in.
Bayern are eager to move Coman’s £271,000-per-week wages off their books as they look to rebuild the squad. The German side will be looking for a fee around £33million, which could entice Liverpool.
Reds have found a good deal
£33million for a player with this pedigree and ability will be a valuable deal. Kingsley Coman has been able to fit in multiple systems and styles throughout his career. The only downside to signing him would be his low production over the past few seasons. But that can be put down to the fact that he has become more of a squad player over the past few years.
