Liverpool will have a fight to keep their first team stars at the club this summer.
Outside three of the club’s best players, Liverpool will also deal with other club’s transfer bids. Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk are all out of contract at the end of the season. It has looked more and more apparent that the club is entering a new era after Jurgen Klopp. Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Jordan Henderson have left Anfield over the past few seasons.
This summer, Liverpool will have to deal with contract outside Salah, Trent and Van Dijk. The likes of Caomhin Kelleher, Ibrahima Konate and Andrew Roberston all have their deals expiring in 2026.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in race for Liverpool star

Caomhin Kelleher is set to leave the club before next season. With the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili in the summer, the Ireland international is set to be third choice. Newcastle and Chelsea have been linked with the player. Liverpool will reportedly offer Andrew Robertson a contract extension as they see him as a key squad player. The reds are still trying to convince Ibrahima Konate, who has a contract offer on the table. The French defender has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
One player who could leave Liverpool this summer is Luis Diaz. The Colombian has been linked with a move to Spain since last year. FC Barcelona have been heavily linked with the winger, with Diaz’s representatives reportedly in contact with the Spanish side. Diaz has asked for a new contract at Anfield, but Liverpool have put talks on hold ahead of this summer.
According to Fichajes, Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the Colombian. The La Liga side are looking to replace Antoine Griezmann who is reportedly on his way to the MLS. Diaz ranks highly among the list of targets for the Spanish side. The 27-year old has 13 goals in all competitions this season.
Luis Diaz exit grows closer
Multiple factors indicate that the Colombian will not be at Liverpool past this summer. He has made it clear he wants a new contract, which the club have put on hold. With Arne Slot in the market for new arrivals in attack, Luis Diaz may be part of the players that will be sold to generate funds.
