Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract with Liverpool expires in June 2025
Trent Alexander-Arnold picked up a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa and was taken off halfway through the first half at Anfield on Saturday night.
Regardless of the speculation surrounding his future, the 27-year-old defender has been brilliant on the pitch and has not let Liverpool down this season.
He was even playing with an injury since the October international break and Liverpool received a real scare on Saturday when the defender injured his hamstring halfway through the first-half of their win over Villa at Anfield.
Alexander-Arnold was immediately taken off and the club sweated over the weekend about the extent of the injury as the right-back remains a massive part of the team under Arne Slot.
However, it emerged that the damage to the hamstring muscle was not extensive and he has not been ruled out of Liverpool’s next game after the international break.
But Alexander-Arnold has withdrawn from the England squad and will rehabilitate over the next two weeks under the supervision of the medical team at Liverpool.

As many as eight players have withdrawn from the England squad for the Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.
Chelsea pair Levi Colwill and Cole Palmer, Arsenal duo Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, Manchester City midfielders Phil Foden and Jack Grealish, and Southampton’s Aaron Ramsdale have all pulled out.
Alexander-Arnold completes the set and the Liverpool defender has been replaced by Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento.

Livramento, 22, has been part of the England squad previously but is yet to make his debut for the Three Lions.
With the Liverpool star not in the squad, the Newcastle defender has a good chance of getting his first England cap in the next two games.
Liverpool hope that Alexander-Arnold will get back to full fitness to be ready for the game against Southampton on 24th November.
Arne Slot wants most of his top players ready for a busy run of fixtures after the break when they have games against Manchester City, Real Madrid, Newcastle United and Everton.
