Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes is focused on reinforcing Arne Slot’s squad in the winter window but there are players at the club who could move on from Anfield in the middle of the season.
The Merseyside giants have plans to bring in a defender and a midfielder in the winter window as they look to back Slot’s charges in their attempt to win the Premier League this season.
Hughes and his staff are working hard behind the scenes to identify targets and the club have been looking at several players ahead of the winter window.
However, Liverpool also have decisions to make on certain players who are struggling to get to the grips under Slot this season at Anfield.
The Reds are ready to move on players such as Wataru Endo who is also keen to leave Anfield with several clubs in the Premier League believed to be interested in him.
However, there is speculation over the future of certain players who are yet to impress Slot and his staff.
Winger unhappy with life in England
Federico Chiesa has played just 78 minutes of football since joining Liverpool in the summer and has been out injured since before the October international break.
There is no clarity on when he will be fit to play and Slot has already admitted that he is far away from matching the intensity of his teammates at Anfield.
He has been linked with a move back to Italy on loan but Liverpool are prepared to hold on to the player until the end of the season at least.
However, a loan move has not been completely ruled out as according to InterLive.it, Chiesa is not at all happy in England.
Can you name the club Liverpool sold these players to?
He was hoping to rekindle his career in the Premier League but his fitness has come under a fresh scanner since his arrival in the summer.
Chiesa’s agent has been offering him to clubs in England and has held talks with Inter Milan and Roma.
The Nerazzurri would be interested if Liverpool agreed to accept a loan offer for the winger in the winter transfer window.
