Top Reds target makes major transfer decision

RB Leipzig turned Xavi Simons’ loan from Paris Saint-Germain into a permanent deal in the winter window, but are prepared to sell him this summer.
The German giants want to lower their wage bill ahead of next season and are open to offers for him in the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot is driving the club’s interest in signing him, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the Dutch midfielder has made up his mind about a transfer.
He wrote on Twitter: “Xavi Simons’ decision has been made: he’s ready to leave RB Leipzig this summer.
“Plan confirmed as reported in the recent months, he’s ready for new chapter with top Premier League clubs and Bayern all attentive to his situation.
“RB Leipzig, aware of the player’s plan.”
The Merseyside giants are keen to take him to Anfield, and a move to Liverpool appeals to him, especially because of their Dutch contingent.
However, the Reds will have to dig deep into their pockets as Leipzig have slapped a £67m price tag on Simons.
