Liverpool are showing massive ambition in the summer transfer window to land stars who are wanted at several other big European clubs. However, they would want to keep their flock together as well, and a former Reds hero could now help Real Madrid land a top star this summer.
Real Madrid have already raided Liverpool this summer, with Trent Alexander-Arnold set to leave his boyhood club for the Santiago Bernabeu in the coming weeks.
The Spanish giants have also encouraged Ibrahima Konate to keep stalling the negotiations over a new deal for them to steal him on a free transfer next summer.
Liverpool want to land a counter-blow by snaring a top forward away from Real Madrid, but the latter are now employing Alonso to get one more huge player from Anfield.

Xabi Alonso set to raid his former home for Real Madrid

Alonso is set to become the new Real Madrid manager at the end of the season, and he has a few key demands for the summer transfer window.
The incoming boss wants a new midfielder this summer, and according to Mick Brown, the Spaniard is set to increase Real Madrid’s chances of landing Alexis Mac Allister.
Real Madrid have been preparing a bid for the midfielder this summer, but it has been claimed that the former Spain midfielder will now use his contacts at Liverpool to facilitate the deal.
“Real Madrid have got some problems going into the window”, Brown told Football Insider.
“The manager has gone, it looks like Xabi Alonso will be the one to replace him.
“Then you’ve got the two centre-halves who need replacing, and there’s been a bit of talk they want to sign a new midfielder as well.
“So they need three or four players, and they’ve got to be top-level players, which aren’t easy to find.
“They’ve got Alexander-Arnold coming in, so that’s one position off their list.
“Alexis Mac Allister is a player I hear they have been looking at as well.
“The new manager knows the Liverpool scene well, he’ll still have his contacts at the club, and he’ll be speaking to them about a possible deal. It would be a huge deal.
“So he’ll know the situation as much as any opposition manager can do.”
Liverpool do not want to sell him, and it could take as much as £85m to snare the Argentinian away from Anfield this summer.
